Susan, Sorry to not get back to you sooner, but this website is a little persnickety at times. In answer to your question, no. I haven't yet ridden that stretch of the lakeshore, though I hope to one of these days. Maybe next summer I can go from Traverse City around the top of the Mitten, down to East Tawas.

Mike, have you ever gone biking along the lake front bike path between Charlevoix and Harbor Springs - or the tunnel of trees from Harbor Springs to Cross Village? Michael and I went on both a few weekends ago - so beautiful. The lake front bike path runs 26 miles and we rode 34 miles round trip on the Tunnel of Trees - stopped for lunch at Leggs Inn. We go every September.

i think you might want to check out www.nanowrimo.com - i feel like it might be an upper for you. most of the writers I know are trying for word counts this month.
